Well, it’s the end of the semester. We have finished our last official class of the semester. The “Textured Shoe Project” is the next to last project of the semester and is designed to explore real and implied texture. It is also designed to showcase the drawing skills of each student and most importantly show their improvement over the course of the semester. One of the first exercises in the semester was a drawing assignment in class where each student takes off one of their shoes and draws it using any medium. The finished drawings were taken up and put in a folder. I returned these early drawings this week along with the Textured Shoe project. This gives a dramatic visual reference to improvement. CONGRATULATIONS to all who stuck it out and finished the course.
